She continuously reads, takes courses and builds networks with leaders in the self-help and personal growth field. She has been a student of yoga for many years. She celebrates her spiritual core. She is a positive force who works to help everyone she meets to live in love and not to live in fear. Dr. Fitzpatrick-Doria has worked in education for over 30 years. She spent the first eighteen years of her career as an elementary school teacher teaching many different grades and subjects. She taught in both Dallas, TX and Philadelphia, PA. During this time in the classroom, Fitzpatrick-Doria earned two master’s degrees. The first one was obtained early in her career and the focus was on literacy and reading, obtaining both a M.Ed. and a certification as a reading specialist. Her second master’s degree focused on educational leadership, and she received a K-12 principal certification.
Once she stepped into the world of instructional leadership, she never turned back. Fitzpatrick-Doria spent the past ten plus years in administration. During that time she earned a doctoral degree in educational leadership and administration and a Superintendent’s Letter of Eligibility. She has led at the building-level as an elementary principal and at the district-level as a director of curriculum and instruction in the city and suburbs of Philadelphia, PA.
