ABOUT ME

As a leader in education, Dr. Fitzpatrick-Doria has tapped into her holistic side to help educators grow as well. She has practiced mindfulness for many years. She continuously reads, takes courses and builds networks with leaders in the self-help and personal growth field. She has been a student of yoga for many years. She celebrates her spiritual core. She is a positive force who works to help everyone she meets to live in love and not to live in fear. Colleagues have commented all throughout her career that her laughter, her joy and her positivity have made an impact on their lives. She is inspired to share this with others.
Dr. Fitzpatrick-Doria has worked in education for over 30 years. She spent the first eighteen years of her career as an elementary school teacher teaching many different grades and subjects. She taught in both Dallas, TX and Philadelphia, PA. During this time in the classroom, Fitzpatrick-Doria earned two master’s degrees. The first one was obtained early in her career and the focus was on literacy and reading, obtaining both a M.Ed. and a certification as a reading specialist. Her second master’s degree focused on educational leadership, and she received a K-12 principal certification.
Once she stepped into the world of instructional leadership, she never turned back. Fitzpatrick-Doria spent the past ten plus years in administration. During that time she earned a doctoral degree in educational leadership and administration and a Superintendent’s Letter of Eligibility. She has led at the building-level as an elementary principal and at the district-level as a director of curriculum and instruction in the city and suburbs of Philadelphia, PA.

MY PHILOSOPHY & MISSION

I live by the words of Gandhi, “Be the light you want to see in the world.”  I want to help educators light their own candle so that they can light the candles of others in their lives, whether they are students, colleagues, family or friends. I will help educators reflect, recharge and rekindle their lights.

I believe YOU can be the change. I believe when you cultivate ways to keep your inner candle lit, you can shift in an instant. When your candle burns brightly, you have the strength and the power to be your best self and to use your flame to light the candles of others. Your flame, your light, your spark. You are power. The possibilities are endless!

Marianne Williamson stated,
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, ‘Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?’ Actually, who are you not to be? Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
